Local photo and File Sharing on ipads

Can I use the WD Photots and MY Cloud Apps without information going on the internet. I have a few Ipads that I want to back photo’s and Documents up to my WD MY Cloud EX2 but I don’t want any information leaving our local network. Thanks

If you are using the app within the same network as the unit, the information wont go through the internet.
