My first day and already a second question!
I bought WDTV hoping to be able to run short programs on a television screen at work without the use of a computer by plugging in an external harddrive or a flash drive.
When I try to look at photos on a flash drive, the WDTV only recognizes the drive when I’m connected to my home network. As soon as I remove the wifi connector, it behaves as if there is no local drive. Connecting to the network at my office is NOT an option.
What can I do?
Check to make sure that the device settings are correct for the connections you are using. HDMI for HDMI cable. Composite for composite cable. Remember to use the cables that come with the WD TV, also.
