I have a problem loading my 1TB WD external drive. For some reason it’s not loading the drive. Its pop up the unlock bar but after the unlock drive space is not identified and u can say that the local disk found but in properties drive space is 0, I have a lot of items on this drive like office & personal data, music & movies etc. I really do not want to format it and loose all of my stored files. I’m searching the net for a solution, but find no results yet. Any insight on how I can fix this will be very appreciative. Thanks for your time and effort if you are able to help.
Try checking the drive with chkdsk
you can go to disk management and check the status of the partition as well

what was the original format? any chance you trying to see HFS+ formatted drive windows machine?
