Loading 2 mypassport 2tb drives simultaneously

hello

i purchased two wd mypassport 2TB drives and individually they load on my PC running windows 7. But when i have both on, the power lights flash but only one of them appears mounted. Indivudually they are fine. Doesn’t seem to matter if i plug one into the back of computer and anther in a HUB. control panel hardware says they are both mounted and working.

Please advise as to how to get both to appear. i want to use one as a main external drive and the other as a backup
