I am looking for a better way to play my TV Recordings that Windows Media Center records via my SiliconDust HomeRun Prime.
The files by default recorded to *.wtv format, then I have windows 7 convert them to *.dvr-ms (takes about 60 sec.)
The Hub (and Live Streaming Media Player) will play the .dvr-ms files, but require a reboot each time.
I have also renamed the file to *.MPG and the same problem: File starts to play with the circle spinning, reboot hub and now file will play. Try again after awhile & requires another reboot.
I’m not sure if this is anything that WD can fix or add support for.
I’m not really looking to convert every file just to watch once, but I’m open to any suggestions for converting the recordings I wish to keep.
