Live Hub Ethernet Port Dead? Time for a new media server?

I’ve had a WDTV Live Hub since December 2011. It’s worked like a champ, except for the last few weeks. The Ethernet Port won’t recognize my home network. I’ve tried a full reset, different types of network connections (powerline network and wired from a router) and nothing seems to work. We had a lightning storm a few weeks ago which fried my original WD Powerline adapter, and I’m afraid it may have killed the ethernet port on the Live Hub and any possibility of a network connection to transfer files. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a fix, or should I just spring for a new media server?

Hello,

Try connecting the WD TV Live Hub directly to the Ethernet Port in your computer (bypass the router/network) to determine if the issue is caused by any network settings or the device itself.
