I recently purchased the Linksys AE2500 High Performance Dual-Band N USB Adapter in the hopes of replacing the Linksys AE1000 Adapter that I currently use with the WD TV Live Hub Media Player.
Unfortunately, the WD TV Live Hub does not recognize this USB adapter. Does anyone know how to get the AE2500 to work with the WD TV Live Hub?
Not possible. It’s not supported.
Yes, I realize that it is currently not supported as per this list. However, does Western Digital frequently update their Media Players to support newer adapters that come out on the market?

That’s what I thought, but I guess I was hoping that there was some “formal” way to request the addition of this wireless adapter for the WD TV Live Hub.

You could request it to be supported in the ideas section. However don’t hold your breath waiting.
I also bought an Linksys AE2500 adapter for my WDTV Live. I was disappointed that it wasn’t compatible. Hopefully they do a firmware upgrade soon
I have the same situation and was very disappointed too.
Me also , i hope they release a new firmware to support it
