LifeGuard Diagnostic Scan on a 500GB drive... how long?

I have a hard drive that’s been acting a bit odd I believe (Still trying to troubleshoot it  down to the drive) lately and I don’t want to send it in without making sure there’s something wrong.

I’m running the full scan witht he lifeguard tools, and right now it’s only at the very beginning of the scan (after 1 and a half hours) and estimates 60 hours remaining.

The site said allow a few hours for a large drive. Is this a sign in itself that the drive is faulty?

WOW, 500 GG should not take this long, it looks like you have a bad drive.

Try using HD tune…
