Life of WD My cloud with constant usage

I have started using WD My cloud since last few days.

I have one IP camera where I have done settings so that camera stores images to WD My cloud via FTP. Frequency is 3 images  / second. As a result of this WD my cloud is running continuously (I can hear hard disk sound coming from WD my cloud).

I am worried if WD my cloud is a perfect solution for above setup. Not sure if it will decrease it’s life.

Any body can comment on above?

Even though the WD My Cloud was designed for active 24/7 usage, for dedicated surveillance purposes I would recommend the Expert Series WD My Cloud EX2 and WD My Cloud EX4 because of the expanded storage options.
