Latest WD TVs are more powerfull than the older WDTVs?

Hi, I have a 5 years old WD TV and when I make a mp4 file with high bitrate I get some problems. WD TV sometimes gets stuck. I’d like to know if the the latest WD TVs are more powerfull than the older WD TVs.
