I had the drive fail on my back up device fail in August '19. Unfort., the WD Software never reported failure of the drive; i was assuming everything was fine. Went to restore data from the drive today; found out the drive was broken. Warranty support apparently ended in Sep '19. Even though i have documentation that the drive failed in warranty period (attached file), WD is refusing to provide warranty support.
Therefore, i suggest WD provide better software that provides feedback on failed drives.
