Just two 1TB drives as RAID 1?..how about SSDs?

Any reason why i cannot use just two (matched) 7200 drives in the EX2 as RAID 1?
I would prefer two 500GB SSD’s…now .is that feasible? with bay adaptors I guess.
I have a couple spare as I have just swopped out my iMacs to M2 SSDs recently.
btw, no guesses please…

Hi RAID 1 or RAID 0 need just two drives. of same size. But ssd are small in size and may not fit directly like regular hdd. So you might end up in damaging the drives or bay as its hard to align them in the given slow as its drop down mechanism instead of slight in mechanism.

So be sure you know what you are doing. you can reply here on the outcome. many tried ssd’s it had worked. For now no technical information says any minimum size needed for the bay to work. As it needs to store a portion of day few gb’s may be in HDD. So removing it completely might remove the settings.

If you are successful then be sure you erase both sdd’s which is part of the process.
