I have just moved to a new home. I set up cable, Internet, etc. When setting up mycloud and run the cable from the unit to the new router, I cannot get a steady blue light. Is it looking for the old router still? This doesn’t let me move forward in the setup option if the steady blue light isn’t observed… I don’t want to reset the unit in case my data is erased!
Who is your new cable provider, and what is the new router? AT&T Uverse, by any chance? There is a known incompatibility between MyCloud and Uverse router; the symptoms are failed network connection indicator on front panel, and both network port LEDs off. Plus no access to MyCloud…

What are the MyCloud network port LEDs indicating?
What do you mean by this? Can you see the Dashboard at all? If so, then you have a connection to your router.
