just bought my drive and it makes clicking noises, also it doesn’t appear in my windows 10 can someone help me please.
Maybe use Windows Disk Management to find it and then place a partition on it?
1 - Connect NEW drive to USB cable to PC
2 - Boot Windows as usual
3 - Right click Windows Start button and select Disk Management
4 - Make darn sure you select your NEW drive (Right Click on it)
5 - Select New Simple Volume
It’ll create a partition and format it…You MIGHT also get an indication from Disk Manager when you start it that your new drive needs to be “initialized” or something similar. If that happens you probably won’t need to do the above 5 steps. I don’t do this everyday so…
