Java progress bar stuck, latest firmware, 3 TB WD Mycloud, MAC

Hello,

Purchased a WD Mycloud 3 TB today and having issue using the web based application.  The progress bar on the java load is stuck at 0%.  Have already updated to the lastest firmware on the mycloud to version 3.04.01-219.  Before updating to this firmware could not even get to this java load screen without errors.  

Have same issue on two macbook pros running latest maverick osx with all updates, using web browser safari.

I am able to access the drive using Finder, desktop app, and ipad. Only issue seems to be the web based version.

I think I read somewhere that Apple Mavericks / Safari no longer works with Java?

Maybe have to try a different browser like Firefox.  

Maybe a Mac owner will offer help.
