Is there anyway of turning a new MyCloud into an old one by flashing it?

I am so disappointed that the old ones are discontinued, usually this happens when a device has been upgraded, but the new MyClouds are nothing like the old ones. It’s practically useless, even as a bookend

kidding aside, yeah i’m very happy with my old original My Cloud and would rather buy a pre-owned, beat-up, cockroach infested My Cloud as a second device … than buy a brand new “My Cloud Home”
