Issues with my WD My Passport Ultra

I just purchased a brand new WD My Passport Ultra earlier today and I have installed the software for it and it did an update to the software too.

So when I went to make a security password for the HD, It says “Security has not been enabled”

Then I get a error message when I go and add files to the HD.

Can someone please tell me what I need to do, to resolve these issues.


Are you using the WD Security app or trying to set the security from the WD Smartware backup software?

Gidday, I have a 2tb ultra and have sent it back twice already. Been without it for 3 months so far and will probably be another 3 months. Do yourself a favour, return it for your money back, and go buy something else.
