Issues with Active Directory authentication setup; CIFS:Authentication for user [nobody] has failed

Running into a bizarre issue here. I’m attempting to connect both of my company’s WD MyCloud devices to our Active Directory. The first one, our EX2, worked perfectly and the domain users populate on the management webpage without a hitch. The second one, our PR4100, is having issues.

Whenever I attempt to view the users/groups/shares on the system, it will just sit and spin saying “waiting for users” (screenshot attached).

I get this issue on the users, groups, and shares tabs. Inspecting the webpage reveals a bunch of 504 errors.

Not sure if it is related, but I am also getting this error under the system log: “CIFS: Authentication for user [nobody] has FAILED.”

Anyone have any ideas?

Have you enabled Active Directory option in the PR4100’s My Cloud Dashboard > Settings > Network > Windows Services section?

If you haven’t done so already, use the forum search feature (magnifying glass icon top right) to search for past OS5 discussions on Active Directory and the CIFS error.

Also, there is a specific subforum for OS5 Pro Series device discussions where users of that device may be able to better assist with any PR4100 issues.
