iSCSI target missing since moving to 5.0

Since installing 5.0 my NAS shows the free space as before but the iSCSI target list has no content so my client device now has no disk and all my data (14 TB) is missing.

@ngoulden Thanks for reporting the issue on the WD Community. Someone from WD Customer Support will be in contact with you shortly.

Hi,
I have a similar issue the Listing of the iSCSI targets is defective.On Target entry is the “progress bar” at 100% saying creating … and the Details Button is grey and cannot be pressed. Same with the Create new Button which cannot be Pressed.

This Target was not newly created, Something during the Migration to OS 5 did cause this. In OS3 this target worked well (2TB size).

Same problem here. iSCSI Targets missing after upgrade to OS 5

Can you guys post screenshots of what you’re seeing in the dashboard?
Also, you can enable SSH and verify the images are still on the drive itself using this command

ls -la /mnt/HD/HD_a2/.systemfile/iscsi_images/*
AND
du -sh /mnt/HD/HD_a2/.systemfile/iscsi_images/*

@stepanov1975 The images are still there so the following article will help.
Basically you’re creating the iSCSI image of the same name but slight larger size.

EXAMPLE:
NAME = test
SIZE = 200 G

**Make sure to use test (all lower case) and not Test (with a Capital T) and 200 GB because it’s 187 GB on disk

@WDStaff Thanks for the instructions. It is my luck I created discs recently and didn’t have anything important on them.
But generally, I am very disappointed. Not only the update broke this functionality, but I also need to manually fix this. And if the fix not working I am expected to use 3rd party software or recovery service, for which I would guess I will need to pay by myself.
I would expect a firmware hotfix that will fix this automatically, but I would guess it is too high an expectation for WD.
For sure my next NAS will not be from WD.

Thank-you for the head’s up in the iSCSI issue @SBrown. Shall temporarily stop using iSCSI (bit-locker NTFS volume) for now and turn iSCSI target off.

@brown, after latest firmware OS update my iscsi target list greyed out and status in creating only

can anyone kindly provide me support assistance to bring back my iscsi volume drive. we have purchase this storage last month and configured as iscsi and mapped one drive to transfer our server data past one month. now huge data stuck inside the volume

@senthil.anand Please collect the system logs and send to support.
