Is WD B+M key M.2 ssd really support on M key socket 3 connector?

IS WD GREEN 120GB (Model WDS120GB0B) Support on Gigabyte Sniper B6 Motherboard ? In motherboard specification gigabyte says about m2-

1 x M.2 Socket 3 connector

  • Support for M.2 PCIe SSDs only.

And sorry to say that I didn’t find any product specification in product package and or WD’s websites. In some thread it says M.2 SSD with B+M key also support in M key connector. It works fine.

But In my case It does not work,
I have B+M keys WD Green 120GB M2 2280 SSD
and Gigabyte G1.Sniper B6 (rev. 1.0) Motherboard.

Please confirm me, it killed my money and now killing my times.

Thanks in advanced.

the WD Green SSD is a SATA SSD not a PCIe SSD. If your MB can only use PCIe SSD in that slot you would need a WD Black SSD.
