Is there any reason to upgrade?

I have an old WDTV Live Plus, WDBABX0000NBK-00.  I have three issues with it that I am wondering if an upgrade might fix.

  1.  When I play flac audio files of 96 or 192 khz and output the digital signal from the WD player to my audio system DAC a 48khz signal is received instead of the original sampling rate.

  2.  When I try to play my local PBS radio station, KQED, on Tune-in I get a file format not supported message.  I can play KQED on my computer without any problems.

  3.  When I power up the player it takes more than a minute to boot up.

  4.  I have not way to have Netflix come up automatically after I boot up the player; I have to manuever through the WD menus to get there and then wait to select the adult version of Netflix.

Is there any chance that a later version of WDTV Live will fix any of these problems?  Is there another advantage that a later version may have that I can’t think of?

By the way I need Netflix compatibility so I can’t upgrade to the latest WD hardware.  WD designers sure had their heads up their butts when they eliminated that feature.

  1.  Not sure

  2.  Not sure

  3.  Same with the latest, if not longer

  4. Not possible – the new player doesn’t have netflix at all.

The last time I clocked it the boot time (without network) was at an annoying 90+ seconds.
