I would like to completely wipe everything off of my computer onto my harddrive because my computer is completely full. Although I’d still like to be able to open my music on itunes etc. Is it possbile to stream files from the harddrive without restoring those files back onto your computer first?? I can’t find anything anywhere about it.
Hi there, it is possible if the files where manually copied into the drive to allow them to be seen as regular folders and files and then setting the drive as a shared network folder.
On the other hand, remember that if you erase the files from your computer then you would no longer have a backup (The MyBook would have a master copy instead of the backup copy) and if the drive fails 20 seconds later then you’ll be out of luck…
