Is My Passport USB cable proprietary?

I have recently moved and am not sure if I have misplaced the proper USB cable for my drive. 

I have a WD My Passport WDBABM0010BBK-00.  Will any USB cable work?

The one that I believe is the cable spins up the device and the light on the side is on.  But after about 5 seconds I don’t feel any vibrations anymore.  I don’t get any indication from WIndows that there is a new USB device connected.

I only have about a dozen or so hours use out this device so I’m very annoyed.
