Is it possible to upgrade Gen4 firmware to Gen3?

Is it possible to upgrade Gen4 firmware to Gen3? They seem to be identical units?

Has anyone tried? Is the Gen4 firmware better than the (last?) Gen3 firmware?

Is the support over for Gen3 on behalf of WD?

  • Gen4 1.02.17 fixed the MP4 bug (Gen3 users stay with 2.01.86 and you won’t get it)
