The version used by My Cloud has vulnerabilities that require Apache server to be upgraded. Is there a way to do that? I don’t care about the warranty, if the thing fails it gets crushed anyway. Based on firmware upgrade history I’m guessing there is no fix forthcoming that way.

The WD My Cloud has a community of advanced users. I’d recommend performing a board search for key terms since it’s possible this has been tried before.
Thanks for the quick reply. I did quite a bit of searching already, nothing out there that I could find. I figured out the POODLE vulnerability, I just had to edit one of the files, but I can’t find any way to address CVE-2014-0224 (SSL man-in-the-middle attack), other than upgrading Apache. I’ll have to toss it if I can’t figure something out, but luckily these things are cheap.
