Is it possible to clone disks

Hi,

I have an elderly Synology Nas that supports 2Tb drives,

I now have two 500 Gb drives, and would like to upgrade to WD 2Tb Reds.

Is it possible to clone directly?

I’m confused about sector size and such, I have several cloning apps, but would like to know, if it is possible, prior to my purchase of two wd drives.

You can try using the Acronis tool to clone hard drives. Check the following link for more information.
