Is enabling FTP and using it remotely (over internet) safe/secure?

I enable FTP with the TLS (explicit, since i read somewhere that implicit is deprecated?) option enabled.

And i enable FTP port forwarding (port 21, port 21).

Is this considered secure enough for professional use (storage of all client and project data)?
I’ve read some topics on here saying that FTP is verry insecure, but since those are all old topics I’m not sure if this is also the case with the TLS option enabled (maybe it’s new with a recent firmware update?). Since after a quick google it seems to have to do with securing FTP?
I’m a total noob at this so I though it would be more safe to ask here?
