Is a larger than 1TB drive with PiDrives compatible with current image?

Since the 1TB PiDrive is no longer available, how about using, say, a 4TB WD My Passport with the PiDrive cables? Will this work?

The USB cable provided with WD drives are optimized for best data transfer speed and performance. I would suggest to use compatible USB cable with My Passport.
