iOS app not backing up photos

I see a few of my photos in the folder I created for backups. But nowhere near the amount that I actually have… Last photo that was backed up was about 2 weeks ago… I’ve taken other photos since then and they are not on the MyCloud. I’m setup to back up only over wifi… it happens with my wife’s phone too… both are iPhone 6s’s

I don’t see any indication that backup has taken place, successful or otherwise?

Check on the settings, verify that the auto backup option is turned on, this might be the reason that the pictured are not being backed up.

I’ve been told today that wd photos is now a legacy app and won’t work, I haven’t been able to view pics for weeks
