Invalid Password

Please, I need help. My WD Passport Essential (Serial [Deleted]) is not accepting the passport that I have been using. I did not change the password. Please do help me as I do not want to lose all my data.

Hello, try doing the firmware update to get the window to enter the password. Follow the link below and find your model. If that doesn’t work, you might need to contact tech support.

Thanks for your suggestion. I tried the update. It is still asking for the password> The password was provided, which it flagged as invalid.

What next should I do?

Try using a different user account like the guest account or a different PC. A few people have had luck with that.
