Internet TV stopped working since Firmware 1.01.24

On version 1.01.17, I was streaming Internet TV (with http links) via Wild Media Server. With firmware version 1.01.24 and 1.02.21, it stopped working. To be sure it wasn’t a setting on my computer that was causing this, I reverted back to version 1.01.17 and the streaming worked again.

So something must have changed in your firmware since 1.01.17.

Here’s what I get with version 1.01.17

  1. Select the TV channel by connecting to Media Server > Computer Name > Internet Television > Channel Name

  2. The playback bar display for 2 seconds at the bottom of the screen

  3. Wait 1-2 mins whilst the stream is buffering (black screen displayed)

  4. The Audio information is displayed for a few seconds

  5. Stream starts playing

Here’s what I get with version 1.01.24

  1. Select the TV channel by connecting to Media Server > Computer Name > Internet Television > Channel Name

  2. The playback bar display for 2 seconds at the bottom of the screen

  3. Nothing else happens, only black screen and stream doesn’t play

Here’s what I get with version 1.02.21

  1. Select the TV channel by connecting to Media Server > Computer Name > Internet Television > Channel Name

  2. No playback bar is  displayed

  3. Nothing else happens, only black screen and stream doesn’t play

yep, i have same thing with latest firmware.:cry:

and im revert to 1.01.00 firmware, with it playback begin after 10-15 sec (not wait 1-2 min as with 1.01.17)

so i think buffering realized in latest firmware not good for Internet TV playing.

Maybe ask WD make option for ON/OFF or change size buffer?
