I don’t see Internet Media at the top level (Home) hence can’t access mediafly. How do I append IM to the menu?

You have to have a live plus or the pre-release firmware on the live.

unfortunately I have the wd tv live not the plus and the 1.03.35 is no longer available.

guess I’ll have to wait for an official release
