Internet connection WD TV

Hi , I would like to buy the WD TV and i saw that for the setup ( when you first plug in to your tv) you need to have an internet connection.

My question is : do i need to constantly stay connected to internet to use it ?
can I for exemple : watch my usb videos on my tv without staying connect to internet?

i know that ,for exemple, roku need to be constantly connected to internet but is WD TV the same?

Hello there,

It is not mandatory to have the unit connected to the internet, but there are some services that do need internet connection, if you do not plan on using internet with the unit you can still use it normally.
