Installing windows

Hello All:

I am attempting to install windows server 2012 R2 on a new WD drive. When I get to the screen concerning the drives, I am told that windows cannot be installed on this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition Style. Can someone tell me how to get rid of this message and install windows. This is a 4 TB drive, Allen

You PC must support UFEI (in your PC’s BIOS) for installing and booting a Large Hard Drive.

A “Large Hard Drive” is a boot volume greater than 2TB in size. (which must also be GPT (GUID Partition Table) … MBR only supports up to 2TB.
