Installing Windows 10

I’ve recently bought an older hard drive for a spare computer (Refurbished: Western Digital Caviar SE WD2500JB 250GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA100 / ATA-6 3.5" Hard Drive Bare Drive - Newegg.com). I’m trying to install Windows 10 but it seems to want to do it. I get the message, "“We couldn’t create a new partition or locate an existing one.” Any suggestions?

Hi,

Try connecting the drive to another computer and then write zeros to it by using Data Lifeguard Diagnostic.
