I am not really a great computer savy guy, however i wanted to tryand install an external drive. (my passport ultra) I didnt think i had installed correctly and tried to erase and start over,however i completely cleaned off the passport by reformatting i think. Now i want to reinstall an i need to know what downlads/drivers i need to make it work again.
Hi if you go here it has all the files that the Ultra had on the drive before you formatted it. If all you are going to do is copy and paste files to it you do not need any software. http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?groupid=223&lang=en .
Remember when you unplug that drive from the PC you have to use the Safely Remove Hardware function.
