Install problem WD10EARS as second drive. XP already installed on 320GB SATA drive

Hi,

I am replacing a 250GB second drive on my desktop with a WD10EARS Caviar Green.  I swapped over the two cables and tried starting the PC - but it just keeps cycling through startup.  I then tried jumpering pins 7&8 but same problem.

I removed the WD drive and the PC started correctly.

Any ideas.  Do I need to set jumpers on the first drive (a Samsung 320GB SATA unit with XP installed).  There are no jumpers set on this unit.

Any help would be appreciated.
