Apologies if this has already been posted, but I couldn’t find any mention on this board (at least not with the search words I used)…I have a Gen2 WDTV, and some AVI files display the wrong “time” / “time remaining”. For instance, I watch an AVI on my PC with Windows Media Player, and it shows the time elapsed/remaining correctly (i.e. 00:00 - 60:00 for an hour long program). On my Gen2 WDTV (latest firmware), when I watch the SAME AVI, and press pause, or REW or FFWD, it only shows a length much shorter, like 15 minutes.
When watching it on the WDTV, the “progress bar” that appears when you pause, shows the current time marker at something like 15:16 / 15:16 (though it continues to play beyond that time). This prevents me from skipping ahead by 10 minutes (FFD+NEXT) more than once.
