My passport is not visible , not able to go to disk management

Try to connect the drive with any other computer and check if it is showing in the disk management.
No it’s not visible in disk management of laptop.

Try to connect the drive with any other USB cable and if the issue still persist then you should replace the drive if it is under warranty period. Please refer to the link given below in order to know how to apply for the RMA.
Dear Mr Alex, yesterday I have changed the USB cable and tried, but same result in Laptop, it’s visible in device manager, under device and printer, and also in pc explorer but as local drive H. On left/right clicking on that H drive, pc getting hanged.
When tried on win 7 pc, With the new USB cable, it is visible in disk management as disk 1, but I could apply the change drive letter thing, as it was giving some wierd msg.
For your info , it is getting detected in my LG smart TV, and I am able to view the files also.
I don’t want to lose the data on it, kindly advice.
It is not on warranty, I have bought it 5 yrs back.
