the problem you are all having with bad customer feedback boils down to 1 thing more or less…
your firmware, and the VCD - part of it…
and this post is about your firmware - REMOVE THE VCD- its not needed, nor wanted!

i want to first,
use all the space i payed for, i dont want 500mb extra ■■■■…
second i want to format wd essential passport to act as a usb storage device. AKA “usb stick” i want a bootable usb device for my linux distro…
or heck… i guess you could say i want… a bootable HDD… wich just happend to be plugged into my usb…
dont you see that having your customers actulley managing to make bootable system is something that would be of great value to you?
who wants to pay 300$ for a 32/64gb usb-SSD/RAM(?)-stick when you can get 1TB for that price…
only problem i see for you guys is that the hdd might break /overheated, just do some warrenty-disclamer if use this REAL-firmware… or heck… build cooling system and start to sell even more **bleep**…
this with the WD passport essential hdd is not acting as a usb-memory, nor does it act as a hdd,
as you can set both with a mbr and you can do a CLEAN wipe of it…
