My MyBook recently caught fire. At the moment the power supply is the culprit. I noticed that my power supply, which is the one that came in the box with the MyBook, is only rated at 1.5A when WD say it should be 3A. I suspect this is the cause of the problem.
I STRONGLY recommend you check your power supply is of the correct rating now before something nasty happens. I was lucky to be home at the time and able to unplug it before it burned the house down.
