The WD Community has rolled out the fix for the IE 9 “no text” issue. However, we’ve made one major change: From now on, in order to post, the system will require at least one character in the text field in order to post.
After the IE 9 fix was implemented, there were still some posts without text showing up in the forums. After further investigation, we realized that these were most likely due to users posting without text, whether accidentally or intentionally. I saw a couple where the user removed the text on purpose. Since there is no way for users to delete their own posts, this is fine. However, to avoid sending you, users, that annoying message about setting your IE 9 browsers to compatibility view, we can now just remove the post for you. With one character or more in the text area, we’ll know that you are intentionally leaving it that way.
Thanks,
