I have a samsung led smat tv, a samsung 3d blu-ray, and a PS3 all hooked up to the same Livewire box. The problem is that the onl unit that will allow me to stream full 1080p is the PS3. Both of the samsung units will stream with freezes and juttering. Does anybody have any idea why this would be happening? I get 125Mbps on that box in the WD Utility and the PS3 Shows 13.6Mbps. If its a good enough transfer rate for the PS3, why won’t the samsung products stream with the same rate? Thanks in advance.
As I understand it, the PS3 is capable of 1080i/30, 1080p/60 and 1080p/24. If that’s user selectable, you might check to see how it’s set in the PS3. If the PS3 is outputting less than 1080p/60, it’s possible that’s somewhat less than what the Blu-Ray player is putting out.
The speed shown by the Livewire utility is not a very good indicator of actual throughput and real life results are marginal for streaming 1080p - especially at high frame rates and 7.1 sound.
Thank u very much, I will look into the settings on the ps3.
