I am trying to retrieve pictures from My Book Essential, I have multiple GB’s stored on the WD device but when it retrieves to the folder I have selected on my computer, there are no pictures transferred. Please help, I am getting a sick feeling that my pictures are lost. I bought this device specifically because I was told it was a trustworthy device to do such things. Thank you for any assistance.

Did you do it manually? Did you use a software? If so, what software?
The drive itself will not copy your data on its own, a software (Either the one that may come with it or another one) is the one doing the job…
