Correct. If one looks at the latest posts, or uses the forum search feature (magnifying glass icon upper right) they will find many new posts since August 20, 2020 of people having trouble with the My Cloud mobile app or WD Sync. For example in this subforum just a few discussions in the last week (or two) of people having the same/similar issue:
Hi I am using Samsung Galaxy S20+ (Android version 10, One UI version 2.1)
when I use the MyCloud Apps, it didn’t allow me to assess and shown a message “Network connection failure (906)”
What’s wrong with that?
I can happily log into MyCloud via a web browser but when using the app (My Cloud OS3) on my phone or tablet it fails. Keeps telling me I have entered incorrect credentials.
As the web login is fine, there is clearly something wrong with the app.
Any ideas?

Da qualche giorno non riesco più a connetermi con WDSync al mio Wd Cloud e nemmeno con l’APP del telefono.
Ho letto che ci sono problemi con il certificato di sicurezza di WD Cloud scaduto al 20 agosto. A tal proposito ho riscontrato che con accesso da internet sono riuscito ad entrare accettando di accedere a un sito “non sicuro” quindi trapassando il certificato di sicurezza. Per WD Sync e l’APP come posso risolvere?
Qualcuno può aiutarmi?

When I log in remotely, it says my device is offline. One of the options is to accept my device’s certificate, clicking that worked once. Now when I click it, I’m brought to a “this page cannot be found” page. I can still access through file explorer when on my home network. When I try to sign in on the MyCloud Android app, it says username/password incorrect. I’ve tried rebooting and cycling cloud service on and off. WD is telling me to contact the manufacturer of my router.

I can’t access to my Wd Mycloud at moment. But I can access to mycloud in the
same LAN band, but on https://files.mycloud.com/ or App on mobil phone can’t. What happen on my Wd Mycloud?
My WD MyCloud is working well on my Android cell phone, but only while on WiFi. It has stopped working on my data plan. It used to work fine. WD says it’s my ISP, but all other apps are working and my ISP says it’s a problem with WD. I have uninstalled and re-installed the app. Still won’t work while on the data network. Any ideas?
I’ve been having trouble with the android app for a while now. Several different units have lost connectivity via the os3 app. It started with an MX111 box that won’t accept the log on credentials. I have tried resetting the password, but it is still not accepted. I have checked logging into mycloud.com and its accepted straight away. is this a problem with android versions no longer being supported, as my tablet running 8.0 Oreo is now having the same problems. I can get by with web access, but…
