this is my first post :)
just got a WD LIVE TV and upgrade to latest firmware 1.04_10v something… i have no experience with older firmware
but i have a major problem with this player on my PHILIPS 42" FULL HD LCD TV
once i select HDMI 12bit deep color mode, the screen will be blinking, even when just displaying the UI. after playing the movie, the blinking will be much more often.
but after go back to HDMI 8bit mode, everything OK and smooth
can anyone help me out ?

Leave it set to 8-bit colour, and you’re good to go.
I have just upgraded my firmware (i have been a few month without doing that) and i have the same issue.
Image through HDMI flickers during playing and on the main menu.
Does it flicker at 8 bits. Does everything look good at 8 bits. If it does then obviously 8 bits is OK
apart from the fact that most of tvs aren’t even able to show 16M colors (8bit) tell me what are you watching at 12bit resolution? Where did you get the 12 bit material anyway?
