I have 2 TB passport, the backup file is much bigger than the C

I have 2TB passport, my C drive is 500 GB. The backup file is 1.2 TB size now. It is growing bigger.
Someone said it may be 5 copies in there. I don’t see it. I saw history folder and volume folder. There are duplicated files. Where to change the settings? Which file is the most recent and which can be deleted. Nowhere to find an easy answer. Please help.

Hello bobzhang,

Which software are you using to backup on the drive?

I used WD backup to back up.

Bob

Hello Bobzhang,

You cannot change the settings for that on WD backup software. You would need to delete files manually from the drive.

There is a feature built in WD Backup to maintain a second copy of all files in history for the purpose of recovery to an older version.
