I had a 2G My Book Live that broke and a got a new 3G version as a replacement. I had a share folder named “backup” on the first one, but when I tried to make that share I get an error message telling me that name is reserved. I need to make that folder to restore network paths that I have other programs using. Any ideas how I can make this share? It seems kind of silly if I can’t make this work on the new My Book that I bought. Thanks.
If you have the share folder “backup” still mapped, right click on that folder and select the option to disconnect. After that try to map the new backup folder again.

Edit: Investigating more on you case, it seem to be that after the latest firmware update, the “backup” share name is reserved by the My Book Live.
