I can't return the shrunk volume to the original disk

Hi.

I got too excited on using my 3TB MyBook. I just bought this on this day. And, here I am. I had a problem.

I’ll make it short and understandable in dummy way:

  1. I went to Disk Management and planned to shrink 1.5 TB from my 3TB MyBook.( because there will be 2 users of this and we want our belongings to be well-organized. )

  2. Something went wrong. The 1.5TB that I shrunk turned out to be 2 parts.

Here’s a pic : Figure 01

  1. I was able to return the 650 GB by right-clicking the Primary Part and selected “Extend Volume”.

  2. There was a list of unallocated volumes that let me choose which unallocated volumes should I take. But,

  3. The 746 GB unallocated volume couldn’t be found when I tried to bring back the 2 unallocated parts to the Primary.

Please, help. Thanks in advance.

Probably the easiset thing is to download the WD format tool and reformat the entire drive and start over. This will wipe out all data. This might help http://wdc.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/wdc.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=3865
