I cant complete a back up of my PC

When I try to run a back up of the files on my PC the back up starts, but the back up stalls at214.05 MB of 235.86 MB copied and just sits there.

I have tried stopping and restarting the back up, but to no avail. I have also re-booted both my PC and the My Book drive and the same happens.

Any ideas as to how I can fix this?

Try to uninstall the WD smartware from your computer, after that reinstall and update the application via the Western Digital website.
